Division of Allied Health
The healthcare field is one of the fastest-growing industries today. Keiser University prepares you to find a fulfilling career in the healthcare field working in a hospital, medical office, medical lab, medical clinic or other healthcare facilities. Learn in a hands-on environment from instructors with actual experience serving in various fields of the healthcare industry. Our healthcare programs include both classroom and laboratory time to help you develop the skills you need to succeed. Associate degree programs are offered in Nursing*, Medical Assisting, Radiologic Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Surgical Technology and Massage Therapy.

Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

This online program* prepares the registered nurse for career advancement, increased earning potential, and entry into Master's or Doctoral nursing programs. Unlike RNs with Associate degrees, BSN nurses are able to practice across a greater variety of critical care, public health and community settings. Nationally, there is a great need for nurse managers in healthcare institutions. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, if these trends continue, rising demand will outstrip the supply of baccalaureate nurses, beginning in the year 2010.



*All coursework is offered online, one course per month. Clinical practicums will be performed in community settings where students will be paired with an approved professional nursing preceptor.

Biotechnology

Biotechnology is a new and exciting area of scientific research that focuses on genetic engineering/recombinant DNA technology and is currently on the forefront of scientific research. The field of biotechnology is growing rapidly, and due to the commercialization of new products, there is an increased need for highly skilled personnel capable of working in both research and production areas.

This Keiser University Associate of Science degree program emphasizes a wide range of courses in the biological sciences such as molecular biology, genetics and microbiology while providing you with the required laboratory skills, at the forefront of modern research technology. You will work closely with faculty and develop laboratory skills including biological-molecular purification, spectrophotometry, centrifugation, biological computation technique, gene splicing and cell culture. Graduates are prepared as biotechnologists who will have opportunities for employment in biomedical research companies, drug production in pharmaceutical industries, marine biology research and agricultural genetic engineering research.



Divison of Business
With a dynamic global economy, comprehensive and up-to-date business knowledge and skills are in high demand. Keiser University provides a solid foundation in theory and practical application of business principles and practices. Advance your career with an MBA*, or develop your business knowledge as you work toward an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Health Services Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS) or Business Administration. Concentrations are available in the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree program in human resources, management, marketing and international business. Our programs make use of the latest technology, and our instructors bring real-world experience to the classroom.

Division of Paralegal and Criminal Justice
Your degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or Crime Scene Technology is the beginning of a fast-paced, exciting legal career. As a paralegal student you will learn to assist attorneys in court cases and many legal transactions, and as a result, serve as an important member of the legal team. Keiser's Criminal Justice program is offered at the Associate and Bachelor's degree levels. You will explore the cause of criminal behaviors through case studies, study law enforcement, and develop an understanding of the criminal justice system. Graduates of Keiser's Crime Scene Technology program will be prepared to help bring criminals to justice by collecting and preserving evidence at crime scenes for laboratory investigation.


Division of Computers and Technology
Computers and technology have completely changed the way companies do business and the manor in which people interact with each other. The technology field has continued to experience growth in areas like computer networking and security management, computer graphics and design, CAD, and computer programming. We use computers for everything from e-commerce to fashion design to video game design, and we're still discovering new uses for computers every day as the technology continues to evolve.

The education field is considered one of the most rewarding professions. The ability to shape minds and prepare the next generation of leaders is a challenge and privilege. Keiser University's Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education* can help you prepare to meet the needs of today's diverse student population. Division of Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts Degree programs teach you to succeed in any environment of the food service industry that requires professional knowledge of food, its preparation, and basic to creative cooking and baking. Fire Science
Associate of Science Degree programs in the Division of Technology include Fire Science*, which assists in qualifying firefighters for management positions with the Fire Service. Keiser University understands the needs of the industry and will prepare you with the tools to compete in the work force. Fire Department Administration, origin and cause, firefighting tactics and strategy, and fire prevention practices are among the courses you will take.

Fashion Design and Merchandising
Keiser University's Associate of Science degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising prepares students for a career in the apparel industry. Students are provided hands-on, collaborative education that combines the creative and business sides of the fashion industry. Our facilities are equipped with industrial-quality sewing machines, pressing units, dress forms and cutting tables to give students a real-world learning experience. Graduates of the Associate of Science in Fashion Design and Merchandising program are ready for entry-level positions in the fashion industry.
